A digital video camcorder produces a state of the art picture which is very accurate in reproducing every color, shape and aspect of the subject being filmed.

Lightweight

The digital video camcorders being produced today are becoming lighter and more compact. This is really useful as it makes them easy to carry and travel with.

Buy Digital Video Cameras on eBay But Avoid The Risks

By Trevor | July 23, 2007

If you are in the market for a new digital video camera then purchasing on eBay is an option.

However as in any purchase where the goods are unseen it is best to carefully consider the transaction before committing to buy camcorders or anything else.

buy digital video cameras graphicThe great proportion of sellers on eBay are honest and to help keep it this way eBay have provided buyers with a few options to determine whether or not they are dealing with an honest seller.

There are two main indicators of an honest seller using eBay. Firstly, and possibly the most important, is their feedback rating. This is information regarding the transaction from people who have been to buy digital video cameras from the seller in the past.

Buyers and sellers can leave an impression of their business relationship. A digital video camera seller with a feedback rating of at least 98 percent is generally considered a good risk.

It is important to drill down into a camcorder seller’s feedback to see what complaints have been made to date.

Read the feedback, sometimes you will find that buyers leave negative feedback just to receive a refund on a perfectly good item. However, if the feedback consistently says the item was not as advertised, the seller is probably best avoided when looking to buy digital video cameras.

Digital Video Technology and Children

By Trevor | July 18, 2007

Children have a habit of being more technology savvy than their grown ups, it is just a fact of life nowadays and it is as true with digital video technology as with anything else electronic.

digital video technology and kidsMany kids are experimenting with digital video technology today a prime example being camera phones and compact cameras capable of recording digital video.

The quality may not be fantastic from these devices but it gives kids a start into the wonderful world of digital video technology

From there it is only s small step to a camcorder and some serious film making.

Let your child have the opportunity to experiment with light and dark, shadows, black and white and color films, and you will be surprised what she or he will come up with! Many kids will make little home movies with friends or pets in the starring roles.

Older kids who are more savvy with digital video technology may relish the opportunity to record feature length shows, such as graduations or soccer games. You never know they might actually be able to make a bit of money by selling copies of the recordings to other team players and their parents. Nothing like the promise of a financial reward to encourage creativity!

Digital Videos Come Alive With Music!

By Trevor | July 15, 2007

Another great video from Jim this time he talks about how to get free music for your videos.

I don’t know about you, but I like to go to town on my family videos and add music to the intros and endpieces. It helps liven them up and starts the films off on the right foot.

We always have music on in the car and my daughter always picks special holiday music for our time away. I find it adds to the theme of the film to import excerpts off the most memorable tracks to liven up my videos.

For those times when you have nothing suitable to add Jim comes to the rescue with two great resources for free legal music …
